A long dry season and a delayed start to the rainy season has delayed this harvest, but the harvest is now in full swing.

Tiquisque harvesting begins in Permalife Farms, Naturewalk 3, this week. The first stage of the process is to pick some sample plants to ensure the crop is ready to harvest.

The good news is that it is ready and the yield looks healthy and high.

Harvest starts immediately, closely followed by replanting.

The tiquisque in Permalife, Naturewalk 3 is now so high you can successfully hide in it!

In  Naturewalk 3, teak and tiquisque can be intercropped. The teak is a fast growing teak hybrid which will be ready to harvest in approximately 16 years.

Whilst the teak matures the intercropped tiquisque provides a yearly income.
