We are often asked about levels of crime and violence in Costa Rica.

The Global Peace Index, by the Institute for Economics and Peace, gives an insight into how countries compare around the world.

Costa Rica currently ranks at number 42 in the overall ranking. The USA, by comparison, comes in at 101.
